OUR STORY

Del Río Trading is a beauty products distribution company, established in Camuy, Puerto Rico in 1973. It is owned and operated by the brother and sister team Antonio and Luisa Del Río. Their parents, Antonio Del Río and Edith Rosario, started the business whose original primary focus was in the distribution of products to beauty salons.

During the early years, Edith, who now serves as President for Del Río Trading, LLC, along with husband Antonio, managed to convey to their children the knowledge, passion, dedication and love for the business. These values led the siblings to both pursue careers that would further help in the development and growth of Del Río Trading.

Under Antonio and Luisa’s direction, the company has seen a dramatic increase in sales in the past 25 years.  Del Río Trading’s operation now includes distributorship of leading beauty brands throughout the Puerto Rican market, as well as some geographical markets in the US such as Florida, California, and Texas to name a few. This distribution reaches all major national retail chains, local supermarket and pharmacy chains, beauty supply stores, local independent pharmacies and supermarkets.

Del Río Trading has identified some opportunities in the marketplace along the way. They recognized that consumers preferred to do all their shopping in one place, which lead to the expansion of brand and product depth within national chain stores. They develop store planograms that allow for visual presentation programs to be implemented in order to maximize sales. Their goal is to continue working as partners with all their vendors and customers, so everyone benefits from growth.
